What's that? You've never heard of a steam-saute? It's only the greatest method of cooking vegetables EVER!!!!
When I learned this method, I was immediately hooked.
But seriously, this method is the best way to cook almost every vegetable. It's not meant for softer vegetables like greens and peppers but I'm sure you could try...
It's also very easy. All you need is a saute pan, 1 pound of your vegetable cut up, 1/3 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of fat (oil, butter, ghee), salt, and whatever spices you want to add.
Step One: Cut up your vegetable. For this, I used 1 pound of brocolli and 3 cloves of garlic.
Step Three: Turn the heat on high. Once the water starts boiling, cover, and turn the heat down to medium. Make sure that the steam keeps going and shake the pan every few minutes to keep the vegetables from sticking.
